DLG sells share of Sejet Planteforædling to Novo Holdings

We have advised the agricultural and energy group DLG in connection with a strategic partnership with Novo Holdings, where Novo Holdings in the first phase acquires a 25% stake in Sejet Planteforædling (Sejet Plant Breeding).

Sejet Planteforædling has been contributing to innovative technologies in plant breeding since 1947. Plant breeding is a process undertaken to develop cereal varieties by making them more robust and efficient in terms of yield, thereby reducing the carbon footprint of the fields.

The strategic collaboration between DLG and Novo Holdings will help support and promote sustainable agriculture and food production, where the parties through the shared ownership will seek to expand Sejet Planteforædling's current business in Denmark and Europe and invest in new technologies that can accelerate the development of new cereal varieties.
