PKA makes first investment in gas terminal infrastructure assets


PKA has announced that it has established North Sea Infrastructure AS, a new investment company that will develop a portfolio of midstream assets related to the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

North Sea Infrastructure AS has entered into a sale and purchase agreement with ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Norway AS (ExxonMobil) for ExxonMobil’s 3.6998% participation in the Nyhamna Joint Venture, which is one of Northern Europe's largest gas terminals located in North-Western Norway.

Together with the management team of PKA AIP, the PKA funds are the sole financial sponsors of NSI, and the company will be managed by PKA AIP and Borgland Advisory in its day-to-day activities.

Bruun & Hjejle has adviced PKA AIP on the structuring of the new investments in natural gas infrastructure and key terms of the agreement with ExxonMobil.

The transaction underlines Bruun & Hjejle’s long-standing commitment to alternative investments for institutional investors.
