We have tailored three in-house training programmes specifically for partners, attorneys, commercial lawyers, assistant attorneys and commercial law associates of Bruun & Hjejle. Orbit, Launch and Ascent have a shared vision of educating and qualifying our legal specialists across seniority levels and specialisation.
Launch
It is very important to us that our new assistant attorneys or commercial law associates get off to a good start. To that end, all newly graduated assistant attorneys or commercial law associates are enrolled in our induction programme Launch before they begin working in their individual legal groups. Here, you will acquire basic skills to prepare you for your new role. Launch is also intended to ensure that you get off to a good start socially by becoming a member of a team of assistant attorneys or commercial law associates who will be by your side for the rest of your training period. We run Launch during the first week of your employment, both on-site at Bruun & Hjejle and at exciting off-site locations.
Ascent
Ascent is a part of our specifically tailored in-house training programme. The purpose of Ascent is to strengthen your skills within the different legal areas of expertise and non-legal disciplines through courses, work processes and apprenticeships. You will get an introduction to how we liaise with our clients and work on our cases, all with the aim of enabling you to independently and securely navigate the complex cases we handle at Bruun & Hjejle, while also focusing on strengthening your linguistic capabilities. The individual courses are constantly developed to adapt to new disciplines and technologies with the aim of ensuring that you always get top-tier training.
Orbit
Orbit is the curved path followed by an object in space in its course around another object. At Bruun & Hjejle, the idea behind the Orbit in-house training programme is that Bruun & Hjejle is the central, constant object around which the training programme orbits.

Orbit is the name of our specifically tailored in-house training programme for partners, attorneys, commercial lawyers, assistant attorneys and commercial law associates. The purpose of Orbit is to develop the skills which, in addition to legal capabilities, enable our legal specialists to provide to-the-point and useful advice to our clients. In future, an increasing number of legal tasks will be performed using technology, meaning more than ever before, our value proposition will be defined by our non-legal capabilities too. Orbit contributes to training problem-solving, creative and independent legal specialists capable of working on their own as well as in teams to provide pragmatic, useful and client-focused advice in an effective manner.
Orbit is based on an agile approach and is continuously adapted to ensure that it is client-focused and directed at providing advice that adds value for our clients, while consistent with what is expected from tomorrow’s legal specialists. Orbit ensures continuous development for all, whether you are a partner, an assistant attorney or a commercial law associate, and that all participants have completed the same modules as a guarantee that the knowledge acquired will create value and be embedded across our organisation.
All participants are required to complete six modules over a period of three years. The modules are: Creativity and Problem Solving, Business Understanding, Business Development, Project Management and Team, Emotional Intelligence and Self-confidence and Appearance.
